Cole Powell is set to compete in a busy schedule this weekend by driving in both the APC United Late Models of Ontario Series as well as in NASCAR Pinty’s Series competition when they take to the track at Delaware Speedway. The events take place as part of the Pinty’s Fall Brawl: the season finale to competition at Delaware Speedway.
“We’ll be racing the number 36 NASCAR Pintys car in the double header Sunday and in my own late model on Saturday in the APC series,” said Powell. “It should a great weekend.”
Powell’s APC Series start will be his first since 2019 when he finished fifth in the Delaware event. Powell brings a home-track advantage to the competition having won in the season opener of the local Pro Late Model division in July at Delaware and then competed in the entire championship chase.
In the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, Powell’s last full season of competition was in 2018, but raced in single events at Juskasa Speedway near Hamilton in 2019 and 2020. His most recent win in the series came near the midpoint of the 2018 season at Wyant Group Raceway in Saskatchewan.
