Cole Powell and EHR racing are heading to the high-banked quarter-mile of Autodrome Chaudière in Vallée-Jonction, Quebec. Coming off a second-place finish a Jukasa Motor Speedway two weeks ago, this weekend’s event gives Powell another short-track shot but with an added challenged: he’ll be driving on the track for the first time the day he races on it.
“I’ve been watching past year’s racing videos to help prepare for this weekend’s track,” said Powell of his preparations. “My past experience will help a ton going into this weekend since it is an oval track and that’s more my style of racing since it’s all I’ve done for the last eleven years. I think the guys have done a great job preparing the car for this weekend. It always helps having a good handling car right off the trailer. That way I can focus on learning the track and not fighting an ill-handling car.”
“I guess I will know better after the first few laps of practice on Saturday!” he added.
